WasteWizard seeks to address these issues by reducing environmental pollution and improving waste management practices, thereby contributing to the protection of wildlife both terrestrial and marine. The application utilizes advanced computer vision and machine learning techniques to classify a variety of waste types—including plastics, electronic waste, batteries, metals, and biological refuse—using images captured via the iPhone camera or selected from the photo library. It provides users with guidance on proper disposal methods for each specific item. Additionally, WasteWizard offers a geographic map indicating nearby waste disposal facilities to facilitate responsible waste management.
